Privacy Policy

What information we collect

Iconic Games Limited may collect the following types of information:

• Order information: The Iconic Games Box — 90s Edition is sold out and no new orders are currently being accepted. Past orders were processed through our Shopify checkout, which collected your name, email address, shipping address, and payment details. We retain the order information required for accounting, customer service, and legal obligations.
• Email signup information: If you sign up to our email list, we collect your first name and email address.
• Digital Library access: To unlock the free Digital Library, we ask for your email address (first name is optional). This creates a membership record so you can return and download resources without re-entering your details, and sets an access cookie in your browser for about 12 months (the cookie itself contains no personal information — just a signed, non-identifying access grant). Joining the separate “Iconic Whānau” mailing list is an optional tickbox and uses double opt-in: ticking the box only records your preference, and you are only ever actually subscribed once you take a second, clearly-labelled confirmation step after verifying your email. It is never required to unlock the library, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
• Contact form information: If you contact us via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message.
• Website usage and downloads: We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used — pages viewed, which free resources are downloaded, traffic sources, device type, and approximate country. Download events record the resource name and file, not who downloaded it. We do not use analytics to collect names, email addresses, or learner information, and we do not sell this data. Browser privacy tools may block analytics, which we respect; our numbers are indicative, not exact.
• Resource feedback: If you submit the resource feedback form, we collect your answers (whether the resource was helpful, your role, what you used it for, and any comments) and — only if you choose to provide it — your email address. We ask you not to include learner names or personal details in feedback. Feedback is used to improve our resources and decide what to build next. If you tick the contact permission box and provide an email, we may reply about your feedback.

How we use your information

• To retain records of past Iconic Games Box orders for accounting, customer service, and legal obligations
• To respond to your enquiries
• To send product updates and news if you have signed up for emails (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• To unlock and remember your access to the free Digital Library

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may handle your data:

• Shopify: Processed the (now sold-out) Iconic Games Box orders — payments, inventory, and order management. No new Box orders are being accepted, and Shopify is not used by any other product on this website.
• Stripe (via playmiharo.co.nz): Payment processing for Mīharo: Escape the Arcade. Mīharo is operated separately at playmiharo.co.nz and has its own privacy policy.
• Resend: Sends the Digital Library access email (including your personal access link). If you tick the Iconic Whānau checkbox and then complete the separate confirmation step, your email is added as a Resend Contact for that mailing list, with Resend’s own unsubscribe link included on every message.
• Google Analytics: Anonymised website usage and resource-download measurement, as described above.
• Netlify: Website hosting, form handling, and serverless functions. Contact, waitlist, and resource-feedback form submissions are stored securely by Netlify and are not published. Digital Library membership records (email, first name, marketing consent) are stored in Netlify Blobs, a private data store attached to our hosting account.

Under the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections. To exercise these rights, please contact us.
